Old Man River climbs Japanese charts

Hailing from Sydney, rising singer-song writing star Old Man River recently topped the Japanese western music chart for two consecutive weeks. The singer debuted in Japan on January 23 and within a month was featured on radio and scheduled to host a Japanese concert. DJ Hiroaki Asai, of radio station FM802, said that Old Man River's new single "La" was proving popular among Japanese youth who usually favour more local music.
