A Wallaby in Tokyo: Larkham signs with Black Rams
Rugby great and former Wallaby Stephen Larkham has signed a three-year contract with Japan's Tokyo Ricoh Black Rams. The 33-year-old fly-half ended his international test career at the 2007 World Cup, where he played only one match due to an early training injury. Larkham had previously signed with Scottish club Edinburgh, however the deal fell through when the club was taken over by administrators appointed by the Scotland Rugby Union.
With his new contract due to commence in April, Larkham is looking forward to making the move to Tokyo with his family. Larkham's high profile and experience is a welcome boost to Japan's rugby and its growing fan base, being the biggest deal to be signed thus far in Japanese rugby history.
