Tennis ace Kunieda wins second title

Shingo Kunieda defeated Frenchman Michael Jeremiasz 6-1, 6-4 to win his second consecutive title at the Wheelchair Men's Singles held in Melbourne on January 26. Kunieda also won the Wheelchair Men's Doubles title for the third time. The winning performances followed Kunieda's own admission that, while his serve was satisfactory, his backhand game was not. The title wins at the Australian Open, along with achieving the grand slam in 2007, have boosted Kunieda's preparation for me Beijing Paralympics.
