Suzuki wins MVP at All-Stars game

The Seattle Mariners' Ichiro Suzuki became the first Japanese player to win the Most Valuable Player award at the American Major League All-Stars game, making a huge contribution to the American League's breathtaking 5-4 victory. Suzuki's inside-the-park home run is also a first for any player in All-Stars history.
Trailing by one run in the fifth inning, Suzuki stepped into the batting box against pitcher Chris Young of San Diego.
