Fast food for steak fans

Maruyu opens $2.50 treasure-trove

Pepper Lunch, a new type of fast food restaurant, has opened in Sydney. With 226 branches in Japan and Asia, the chain hopes to take Australia by storm. A feature of Pepper Lunch is having your meal cooked to suit on a specially developed hot plate. The Japanese patented plate heats to 260℃ within a minute, sizzling your meal right before your eyes. Aside from their popular beef pepper rice, for those looking for something other than beef, there is a selection of chicken and salmon as well as salads. Prices are around $10.
