Ambassador's wife displays ikebana

Maruyu opens $2.50 treasure-trove

Madam Emiko Ueda, wife of Japan's Ambassador to Australia, is to give a demonstration of ikebana arranged by Ikebana International Sydney Chapter 36 Inc. Mrs Ueda studied ikebana in Japan, qualifying as a master in the Sogetsu School and over many years has demonstrated and taught in various countries. She has recently demonstrated in the National Art Gallery, Canberra, ACT. Her demonstration will take place on Thursday, April 12 at the Domain Theatre, Art Gallery of NSW at 10.30am. Reservations: Mrs K Chate - 9534 1147, Mrs A Daw - 9977 0395. Children over six welcome for free when accompanied by an adult. Monthly meetings of Ikebana International Sydney Chapter 36 Inc are held on the third Thursday of the month at Chatswood.
